Christian Friedrich Samuel Hahnemann
Christian Friedrich Samuel Hahnemann is widely considered to be the father of Homoeopathy. He was an 18th century German physician and chemist who developed the concept of Homoeopathy, which is a form of alternative medicine based on the idea that ‘like cures like’. Hahnemann believed that if a substance caused symptoms in a healthy person, it could be used to treat similar symptoms in a sick person.
This concept is known as the ‘Law of Similars’ and is the basis of Homoeopathy. Hahnemann also introduced the practice of diluting remedies in order to reduce their potential toxicity. His work has been highly influential and continues to be a major part of Homoeopathy today.
